1. Acceptance

By using medslice.app ("MedSlice", "the Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

MedSlice is a browser-based tool for opening, viewing, converting and anonymizing DICOM medical imaging files. Processing runs entirely in your browser; files are never uploaded to our servers.

The Service is offered in two tiers:

  • Free — DICOM viewer, Window/Level presets, DICOMDIR support, single-slice JPG export (up to 3 studies/day).
  • Pro Clinic — everything in Free plus unlimited batch JPG/ZIP export, PDF referral reports, MP4 animation, full anonymizer, veterinary tags, dental presets, and priority support.

3. Not a medical device

MedSlice is not a medical device and is not intended for diagnostic use. Output produced by the Service (images, PDFs, anonymized files) must not be used as the sole basis for clinical diagnosis or treatment decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional.

We make no representations about the accuracy or completeness of DICOM rendering for any specific modality, scanner model or transfer syntax.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts to abuse the free-tier rate limits or circumvent access controls.
  • Share, resell or sublicense your Pro token to third parties.
  • Use the Service to process data you are not authorised to access.

5. Pro subscription and billing

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at the rate shown on the Pricing page at the time of purchase.
  • A 7-day free trial is included with every new Pro subscription. No charge is made during the trial period. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends with no cost.
  • Billing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds. If you experience a technical issue that prevents the Service from functioning as described, contact us within 7 days of the charge for a full refund. Refunds are not available for change-of-mind cancellations after the trial period.

6. Intellectual property

The MedSlice software, brand and website content are owned by or licensed to the operator. You retain all rights to the DICOM files you process — we never receive them.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of security vulnerabilities.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MedSlice and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including — without limitation — any clinical decisions made based on output from the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced on the website or by email (if you have a Pro subscription). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Spain, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
